On April 1, GDAS held a Seminar on Technology Commercialization and Incubator Construction at Yueke South China Testing Technology & Equipment Park, with an aim of accelerating technology commercialization and facilitating the construction of technology incubators.
The meeting started with expert presentations. LI Quanhui, Deputy General Manager of Guangdong Yueke Financial Group Co., Ltd., delivered a speech on “A New Operation and Profit Model for Incubators”. He offered detailed methods for improving the marketing and operation capabilities of an incubator, a guidance for technology business incubators to high-quality development. PENG Xingguo, Chairman of Guangdong Publics Venture Capital, focused on “Venture Capital Investment and Technology Commercialization”. By sharing his experience in expanding financing channels for an enterprise, Peng provided his solutions for problems in innovation and entrepreneurship financing. WU Houping, former Chairman and General Manager of Central South University Asset Management Company, elaborated with numerous cases and examples on the advantages and upgrading paths for technology transfer and commercialization from the perspective of universities and colleges, and shared his experience in arousing the enthusiasm of sci-tech professionals for innovation and entrepreneurship. The presentations are rich in content with abundant cases and examples, and bring multiple targeted and guiding suggestions on the acceleration of technology transfer & commercialization and the construction of incubators in Guangdong province.
That was followed by a good practice sharing, where professionals have shared their takeaways and experience in technology commercialization and incubator construction. Speakers for this session included representatives from three GDAS’s Institutes: Institute of Analysis, Guangzhou Institute of Geography, and Institute of Zoology. Chiefs and officials engaged in technology commercialization and incubator construction at GDAS affiliated organizations and departments had a deep and fruitful conversation with the audience, contributing their wisdom for technology businesses.
